The Saab JAS-39 Grippen is a single seat, single engine, light weight, delta-canard multi-role fighter. It was developed in the 80’s to replace the Swedish Drakens and Viggens. It first flew in 1988. The Grippen is flown in Sweden, the Czech Republic, Hungary, South Africa and Thailand.
